WHO states that we all need to be prepared for health and adopt healthy and active lifestyles. World Health Day is for individuals, families, communities, governments and policy makers for health to take steps. “

WHO researcher Drs. Regina Guthold states, “Prompt policy action is needed to increase physical activity, particularly to promote and sustain girls’ participation in physical activity.”

The World Health Organization has said serious implications for people’s health on the occasion of World Health Day today. Approximately 2 million deaths per year are attributed to physical inactivity, prompting the WHO to issue a warning that a sedentary lifestyle is one of the 10 leading causes of death and disability in the world. World Health Day is observed every year on 7 April and is used to inform the public about major health issues. By choosing physical activity as the theme for World Health Day, WHO is promoting successful healthy, active and tobacco-free lifestyles. The aim is to prevent illness and disability due to being unwell and sedentary.

Today in the machinery age, we are doing all our work with machines, due to which our body has become stable.

A sedentary lifestyle increases all causes of mortality, doubles the risk of heart diseases, diabetes and obesity and increases the risks of stomach cancer, hypertension, osteoporosis, lipid disorders, depression, and anxiety. According to the WHO, 60 to 85% of people in the world – both from developed and developing countries – lead sedentary lifestyles, which makes it more seriously address the public health problems of our time. It is estimated that about two-thirds of children are inactive, with serious implications for their future health.
